Wedding planning can feel like a lot, and choosing a photographer is one of the biggest decisions you’ll make.
These photos are how you’ll remember it all - the people, the emotions, and the weird little moments that made it yours.
So here’s my take on planning a relaxed, documentary wedding, and what really matters to me when I’m photographing your day.
SO WHAT COMES NEXT?
the non-negotiables:
my couples
LOVE THE unscripted, messy, brilliant bits
you care about
REAL moments
over poses
you are throwing
one hell of
a party
TO CELEBRATE
exactly who YOU are

My approach
01
You want to make your own rules, do things your way, and enjoy every single moment of it, surrounded by the people who know and love you best.
02
I don't want to bend you into weird positions or get you to gaze off into the distance. I want big hugs, nose snorts, incredible laughter, the real moments of you being you!
03
There, I said it. You’ve poured your heart into this day. So yes, photography matters,
but I firmly believe that you should be enjoying the day you have worked so hard to have.
Eat the food.
Drink the drinks.
Hug the people you love.
bang for your buck

what you get
Kirsty just 'got us' and totally made everything a breeze. We were drawn to Kirsty because of her candid style + our time with her was so much fun. Thank you for being the best.
Charlotte + Lloyd
Kirsty stood out from all other photographers with how friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and funny she was. She made the process of wedding planning less stressful and ultimately made the day itself even better!
Teresa + James
My granny has only been able to look at a few at a time - happy tears!
Beth + Ben
Thank you Kirsty from the bottom of our hearts for being the most amazing wedding photographer we could have wished for!!
Laura + George
We keep having Kirsty back. First my sister's wedding, then our engagement + wedding and now to capture our kids.
Tiff + Emma
You will see a lot of talk about AI in photography right now. thESE ARE MY THOUGHTS + FEELINGS
Very simply. I keep things hands on.
I still cull every wedding myself.
I still edit every single image.
I still make the decisions.
Your gallery is not handed over to a machine to sort or style.
The storytelling, the selection, and the feel of your photos all come from me, a real person sitting at a desk with a cup of tea, carefully working through your edit.
It matters to me that your memories are handled with care. Nothing is outsourced. Nothing is automated. Every decision is mine.
01
I’m a Hampshire wedding photographer based in a small village near Winchester.
Most of my weddings take place across Hampshire, Surrey and Wiltshire, including Winchester, the South Downs and the surrounding countryside.
I regularly photograph weddings at venues such as: RHS Garden Wisley Clock Barn, Silchester Farm, The Town House, and Larmer Tree.
02
Yes, I also travel across the UK and abroad, so if you’re planning a wedding further afield, I’d still love to hear from you.
03
It means I photograph your wedding as it naturally happens. No endless posing. No constantly stopping you for photos.
Instead, I focus on the real stuff. The big hugs. The happy tears. The loud laughter. The quiet moments you didn’t even realise were happening.
Your wedding is not a photoshoot.
I’ll give you a bit of guidance when needed, especially for group photos and portraits, but most of the day you’ll find me blending into the background and documenting the day as it unfolds. The messy bits matter.
Yes absolutely, I think they are a must have at a wedding. But if you're after a photographer that is going to work off a long list with endless groups, then I'm definitely not the photographer for you. Try to keep it to 5 or 6 groups so you can get on with the most important thing - HAVING THE BEST DAY EVER!
04
Most couples book 9-18 months in advance, especially for summer weddings.
That said, I occasionally have last-minute availability, so it’s always worth getting in touch.
05
A full day's coverage starts from £3000
Most couples invest between £3000 and £4000, depending on the flow of the day and how much coverage they want.
If you’re thinking I might be the right fit, get in touch and I’ll send over all the details.
06
07
If I am travelling a long way from Hampshire or finishing super late, then a bed is sometimes needed.
Travel is included within 40 miles of Hampshire.
For weddings further afield, there’s a flat rate of £150 to cover an overnight stay before and or after the wedding.
That’s it, no hidden extras!
Food, yes please, a hot meal whilst you guys are eating would be fab, then I am ready to rock when you have finished.
08
I’m part of a trusted network of photographers across the UK.
In the very unlikely event I can’t attend, I’ll arrange a replacement photographer with a similar style and approach. Your wedding will still be fully covered.
09
Don’t worry, i've got you. Nearly every couple I work with tells me this. Will it feel weird having someone follow you around with a camera, YES, for the first 5 minutes or so. But the way I work means it will feel super chill, less like a photoshoot and more like we are hanging out.
10
YES, YES, YES, I am fully insured for both public liability and professional indemnity up to £5 million.
You would have to be a bit of a numpty not to be.
11
Unfortunately not. Due to the number of enquiries I receive, your wedding date is only secured once your booking fee has been paid and your contract has been signed.
12
The number of images varies depending on your coverage, but if I’m with you for the whole day, you can expect at least 500 fully edited photos.
I don’t rush the editing process. I take my time to make sure everything feels consistent and true to your day.
You’ll get your full gallery within 6–10 weeks, but I would never make you wait that long to see something. A selection of preview images will be sent within 72 hours.
13
You can download, print and share your images as much as you like for personal use.
Share them with family, post them on socials, print them for your walls, email them to friends.
I just ask that you don’t apply filters or edit the images, as I want them to reflect my work accurately.
Full details are in your contract.
14
Absolutely. I think it’s really important that we chat beforehand.
I’m based near Winchester, but if meeting in person isn’t practical, we can jump on Zoom, FaceTime or a phone call.
15
Yay! This is exciting! Drop me a message below, and I’ll check if your date is available.
We can chat through all the details, because the more I know about you, the better.
When you’re ready to book, I’ll send over a booking form. A £750 non-refundable booking fee secures your date, and then… that’s it! It’s official!
CAT + MIKE
Drop me a message, tell me all about you, your plans and check my availability.
We will be spending a lot of time together, so I speak with every couple before taking a booking, just to make sure we are a good fit.
After our call, everyones happy - it is go, go go.
I send you a contract + invoice for the booking fee and that's it - we are official.
Photos of you being you.
I’ll capture the bits you saw, + the ones you missed. Let’s do this your way
