Have you ever wanted to have an actual jungle rave?
Not the muddy festival kind. I’m talking giant tropical plants, a waterfall, palm trees overhead, cocktails flowing, and a packed dance floor hidden inside a glasshouse in the middle of Surrey.
That was pretty much Sadie and Rene’s wedding.
When I first spoke to Sadie and Rene, I had a feeling their wedding was going to be a lot of fun.
I wasn’t wrong.
They chose to celebrate at RHS Wisley’s Glasshouse, one of the most unique wedding venues in Surrey and a place that suited them perfectly. Sadie is a florist, so being surrounded by incredible plants and flowers was always going to be high on the priority list.
The gardens were looking amazing in the summer sunshine, and we spent some time wandering through Wisley for portraits. We found giant Gunnera leaves, colourful borders, and tucked-away corners that felt more Jurassic Park than Surrey.
The Glasshouse itself is quite something. Surrounded by tropical planting, towering palms, and an actual waterfall! It feels a world away from England. Everywhere you look, there’s colour, texture, and something beautiful to look at..
And speaking of colour, Sadie absolutely nailed the styling.
As a florist at WildAbout , expectations were high, and she delivered. Bright flowers, pineapples, sticks of rock, vodka bottles and loads of personal touches created a space that felt fun, relaxed, and completely different from a traditional wedding.
The whole day felt like one big celebration.
Their friends and family brought so much energy, especially during the speeches. I genuinely struggled to photograph parts of them because I was laughing so much. The best men had everyone in stitches from start to finish.
As the evening arrived, the Glasshouse transformed again. The daylight faded, the lighting came on, and the whole space took on a completely different atmosphere. A full-on rave in the jungle.
With Sadie’s dad taking charge of the music, the dance floor filled quickly. There was no shortage of questionable dance moves, huge smiles, and people making the most of every minute.
This is exactly the kind of wedding I love being part of.
